While cycling, you’ll appreciate the cultural and architectural richness that defines Montevideo. The first stop will be Plaza Zabala, where you’ll find the statue of Bruno Mauricio de Zabala, the founder of Montevideo.
Pedal through the maze of shaded streets until you reach Plaza Constitución, the city’s oldest square, where you’ll see the impressive Metropolitan Cathedral. Take a moment to admire the history and beautiful architecture around you.
Next, head to Plaza Independencia, where you’ll discover the old City Gate, the bronze statue of José Gervasio Artigas, and the iconic Palacio Salvo.
Then, head to the Palermo neighborhood and follow the coast to Casa Pittamiglio, the former residence of Humberto Pittamiglio. Don’t forget to snap some photos of the building’s unique facade.
On the return, stop for some pictures at the Punta Carretas Lighthouse before heading back to the port.
Essential Information:
A safety talk will be provided, and wearing helmets is mandatory.
Participants must have prior cycling experience.
Although the route may include slight inclines, it is mostly downhill or flat, with frequent stops.
Wear suitable clothing for cycling and bring a small backpack to store your water bottle during the tour.
This tour is not recommended for individuals with mobility issues, back or heart problems, or pregnant women. Sandals or open-toed shoes are not allowed.
Children must be at least 8 years old to participate.
